Herno Project: canadian red cedar sunshades, durability, and natural elegance
Herno “on green”
Categories: Business, Furniture
For the exterior of the Herno headquarters, in collaboration with our team and architect Agostino Turba, we chose to use Canadian Red Cedar. This wood, known for its exceptional weather resistance, was selected as a sunshades. The Red Cedar, with its natural properties, requires no maintenance with oils or sealants, eliminating the need for periodic upkeep while ensuring long lasting durability. The choice of this wood was guided by specific technical reasons, meeting the client’s needs and preferences to full satisfaction. The sunshades not only serves a practical sun shading function but also contributes to a refined and natural aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the green climbing plants adorning the building. This combination of natural elements with a modern structure brings an elegant touch, integrating with the surrounding environment and enhancing visual comfort for occupants. Additionally, we designed interior paneling for two office floors in the older wing of the building, using smooth beechwood panels. This work contributed to creating an elegant and welcoming interior, respecting the project’s aesthetic and functional requirements.
